Best Christian Movie Ever!

I'm not a huge fan of Christianity.

There's no love lost between me and GhostTiger (possibly wa decent poster in his own right) who I assume is an ardent Christian.

However, as a man raised in the sad excuse for the church during the 90s, I believe I have some insight into the posts about women that have been put on ROK recently that claim a woman should have belief in god.

I think this makes sense. A bitch...more specifically, your bitch, would likely benefit from faith and the RIGHT belief in God.

This phenomenal film features Richard Prior as an angel who bequeaths a mortal with a music box that represents the joy of Christianity.

I think it's no great stretch to say that Christianity is toothless in the days of feminism, yet there was a time (and in some places there still is) where the hellish burden of life can be alleviated by the divine connection between man and God.

This movie illustrates that:

Tl;dr this dude finds a music box that plays "happiness/joy", shares it with his family and co-workers. This is the kind of sustenance your wife should find in Christianity: Inexplicable joy from abstract religion that propounds a value beyond the substantial. Some hint of the "divine" that excites (in my opinion delude) that ho into dealing with her crappy life.

I am a Christian, a Catholic to be specific. But I have abandoned the modern Catholic Church as it is in a profane state of existence and has been ever since it instituted the vow of celibacy for priests. The first thing that most people don't understand about that little policy change is that it took place about a thousand years ago within a church that was founded about two thousand years ago, so it's only been in effect for roughly half the time of the church's existence. The other thing that most people don't understand is that this policy change had nothing to do with sexual morality. It's not that the church cared whether or not priests got laid. What the church cared about was whether or not priests got married. The church didn't want priests getting legally married because priests with no legally recognizable heirs left their estates to the church when they died. So you see it was about money, not sex. This was the beginning of the end of the church as it turned away from the teachings of Jesus Christ. It was things like this that pissed Jesus off enough to make him bust up benches in a temple.

So my abandonment of the church makes me a "baptized pagan" in the eyes of the church. I still claim the right to call myself a Catholic, I'm just more of an "ethnic" Catholic than an "orthodox" Catholic in much the same way we have ethnic Jews and Orthodox Jews. I don't care what the church calls me because I no longer respect the authority of the church. The current pope is a disgraceful clown who is well on his way to completing the destruction of the church by changing the Catholic teachings on homosexuality and making women into priests. The modern church is hopelessly cucked.

So I agree with you 100% that the modern church is a sad excuse for what it pretends to be. On this matter we are in alignment. I am confident that your experiences with whichever church you were raised in proved to you that said church is as hopelessly cucked as the Catholic Church currently is. So you are correct that Christianity is toothless in the days of feminism, but feminism hasn't taken hold everywhere. The Russian Orthodox Christian Church is currently showing strong cultural leadership in the realm of modern Christianity. So there is a glimmer of hope out there, although a strange and historically ironic one. Regardless of the strangeness and the irony, I find it inspiring.

And regardless of the current state of the church, it is not accurate to equate the church with Christian faith and culture. The church is a part of Christian culture, not the whole. This is one key way that Christianity differs from Islam. A man doesn't need a church or a priest or even a Bible to be a Christian. He just needs faith. This is a difficult concept for an angry atheist like you to understand. The average atheist constantly demands proof of everything. This is usually because the atheist himself is a habitual liar, and so following Vox Day's third rule of SJW's... the atheist projects his penchant for deception onto every person he argues with. And so he continually and annoyingly demands proof of even the most trivial things. And when proof is not furnished, he screams "LIAR!" And no one cares. And so he becomes more frustrated and angry. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Your example of that Richard Prior movie is interesting because it uses the joy of listening to a music box to symbolize the joy of Christian faith. I invite you to research the story of Dietrich Bonhoeffer.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dietrich_Bonhoeffer

Bonhoeffer was inspired by the gospel music he heard in Harlem while he was studying in America before returning to his home country to be a priest in Hitler's Nazi Germany. He credited the music of Harlem with inspiring his Christian faith and giving him the courage to defy the Nazi regime and ultimately become a martyr in said defiance.

That a man so educated and elite could find inspiration from disenfranchised poor blacks in Harlem should tell you something about the power of faith. Bonhoeffer went into Harlem thinking he was going to teach the poor blacks about Jesus Christ. They ended up teaching him.

Think on that. If you want to understand.
