I think the guy from fathead just did it to make a point. I believe he is low carb or paleo most of the time. You don't lose muscle that quickly on high protein if at all. although you need some carbs for intense workouts, for me starches work best due to digestive issues. But if I was really sick and couldn't work out I would keep my carbs low to maintain muscle mass. Fat helps too with testosterone and maintaining mental health.
