You do want to be careful invoking the "MATERIALISTA" sense in girls (AKA "Gold Digger Instinct").
My #1 girl (LTR for 1.5 year now, her exclusivly and I'm not) is way below me in her income and it works well (I emphasize that I will not sponsor her).
I had a 1 year LTR (that was girl #2, we broke it off about a month ago) who was at my SE class, and she actually paid for most of the dates (when we were out).
My experience is that you do not dangle your income or family money. It will work well.
