What techniques do you guys use to get rid of anxiety or depression without meds?

In addition to extra Vitamin D, exercise, getting your T-levels checked, etc. I strongly recommend that anyone who is suffering from depression make a point of volunteering their time at a good non-profit. When you see how many people often have it so much worse than you do, it helps refocus the mind on helping others. I've never had severe depression, but have helped some friends who do. The problem with depression is that it can be a deep pit unless proactively tackled. One of the ways of taking it head on is to not dwell on your misery too much. Getting out of the house (even when you feel like staying home, playing video games, porn, etc.) and finding the good in this world can do wonders for a depressive person. Depression can make it seem like the only problems we have in this world are our problems, but when we refocus some mental energy to those in even more need than ourselves, it makes us feel so much happier and fulfilled. If you know of someone that needs help, reach out to them. Also, check out http://www.volunteermatch.org for volunteer opportunities. Giving to others makes it much harder to feel super depressed because generosity gives you a natural high. Try it!
