Make Love To Bogota

Congrats on the flag.  How long are you staying ?

I'm so apprehensive about booking Colombia due to no Spanish skills. All I can say is how are you, name etc which is just garbage. The scopolamine stories and girls drugging guys also don't help lol.
Thanks! I already left Bogota, was there for 5 days. Yes, you need minimum Spanish language skills.
I was and still am very apprehensive about Colombia (and anywhere where I'm not familiar with) but as long as you are street smart, safety should not be a concern. I stayed at an Airbnb with a 24h doorman, was lucky that could lock the apt door from inside and remove & pocket the key, never left drink unattended, had us shower before (read somewhere about drug on nipples, on lube lotion, etc, haha), had all my valuable belongings in a locked hard case luggage, so overall just cover any weak spot I could think about.

You'll still get taken advantage whenever you lower your guard though. Right off the bat, the yellow airport cabbie tried to scam me. The units fare meter was hidden behind the lowered passenger visor/mirror, the laminated chart converting the units to COP was hidden in the front seat so I couldn't see it, took a different route than any of the 3 that Google maps was suggesting so I get into an argument with him with my broken Spanish and he gets mad and drops my ass don't know where, got bit scared cus I just stepped foot on the country. But hailed a cab off the street one minute later and finally made it to my Airbnb.
Just yesterday I shined my shoes on the street, was quoted 3k cop beforehand, then was told at the end that it was for one shoe (you got me fella, haha), for one color (I had a darker accent on shoe tips) so was being asked 12k cop, ended up paying 10k cop (about $3).
But you shouldn't sweat the small stuff otherwise you're missing all the fun.

Maybe she was just meeting a friend or family member at the mall? Who knows, Colombianas do lie just like any other women in the world, maybe she was meeting her novio and just wanted some gringo cock on the side? Anyway you had your turn, onto the next one, stay safe and have fun.

why would you think that? maybe she is going to the mall, if she was going to do something she would have told you she wanted money after and said Oh my kids or my family etc. or oh this is Colombia men pay for it. Seems like it was a solid one! Congrats!
She told me a bunch of stories the day before when I got the flag. Didn't type her actual address when I Uber-ed her home. On tour day was trailing behind and texting on the phone. She also was nervous bc I had a camera and was making sure to stay out of lenses view. Disappeared when the tour guide started taking group pictures, just like that, poof. But yea, afterwards didn't contact her asking about it and she didn't contact me explaining about it whereas before would text me in a very affectionate manner. Maybe she didn't see any weak spot on me so figured was wasting her time. But whatever, haha. On to the next ones.

As far as scopolamine stories this is something I always fear too but i also talk to guys that go met and party with local women and have a blast. I Don't want to regret not going but also I don't want my bank account gone or dead. I think a-lot of stories tend to happen off tinder, and also I think alot of it is street smarts and having common sense when out and stick to higher quality girls. I think if you stick to girls that are usually in groups and dressed normal... Never leave your drink unattended... as opposed to going out alone.
Couldn't agree more with what you're saying. Personally haven't been able to distinguish IRL normal vs trouble girls. Online you can tell a bit from the sort of pics they have or when one for example asked for "chocolates" in the communication. Other than what I wrote about my lay, haven't had any unusual experience.

But yea, in summary, it is possible to have a lot of fun in Bogota (I enjoyed it) but street smarts and minimum Spanish language skills are mandatory.
