I would reach out and see about retrieving the dog. I wouldn't count this as breaking the no-contact rule as it's a very utilitarian reason to reach out and there is literally no other way to go about getting your pet back except to talk to her about it, just don't get suckered in to getting emotional, reminiscing, or rekindling anything. You are only contacting her because it is necessary to correspond to get your dog back.
