No, I'm referring to opportunities. You can learn Serbo-Croatian and confine yourself to the Western Balkans, or you can learn Russian, and have access to way more people and all the ex-FSU countries.
Russian and Serbo-Croatian can't be readily understood by speakers of these languages. Vocab is way too different.
