One doesn't go to a fucking ivy league school with an undecided major unless some other chump is covering your sorry spoilt ass.

And I say that as one who had changed majors while going to Big $tate U. It's not something most of us can shrug off monetarily.

These universities are dominated by the somewhat intelligent kids of economically upper class parents anyways so doesn't make that much of a difference.

Anyone who is at all philosophically libertarian should be celebrating the growing irrelevance of these institutions' undergraduate bodies. With the gatekeepers of knowledge and many of the most lucrative career opportunities out of the way, maybe we can have a shot at a true meritocracy and an economy that will reap the benefits of such a fundamental change that would encourage competition.
