Today the Russians launched an airstrike against anti Assad rebels who it appears had CIA embeds who got about a one hour warning to beat feet which caused John Kerry to freak out at the UN today...
All the while the Saudis appear to be playing the Russians off of the USA ... against the middle.
This isn't a Roman army that will get lost in the sand - both the Russians and USA are flying highly sophisticated supersonic attack fighters not to mention US Drones... now Saudis want to back ISIS Sunnis against Assad Shias backed by Russia - about to get real intense.
The numbers of ways this could turn out bad for and backfire on the Saudis as a giant fuster cluck will be interesting to watch...
