I've been following this thread closely. Definitely some food for thought for when I come to do something similar.
I haven't seen you mention vaccinations, assuming you need to get them. Hep B for example is three injections each spaced one month apart, and I think an extra month to get it tested afterwards.
What is the expiration date on your passport? Should it be renewed / have more pages added to it?
Do you need to notify your bank you will be accessing your account from abroad?
