Cebu and Cali are the 2 biggest dumps I have been to personally.
If you can speak beginner level spanish....Colombia is great.
The nicer areas of Medellin and Bogota felt 10X safer than
Cali to me. Ex. Cali's nicest area did not even have paved
roads....they were in very bad shape.
Several gringos I knew in Medellin had lived there for 5+ years
and never even visited Cali...to give you an idea.
The Colombian girls are harder to game......but it will be much more rewarding and a DIFFERENT experience than SEA.
Plus, its much closer to the US.
