Carson is perfect. He's non-threatening, an outsider like Trump, someone who would probably fall in line with everything Trump says. He's Black and can help Trump with allegations of racism. He can get Trump all the Cruz voters and keep the base intact.
Also Clinton will most likely pick the Castro guy as her VP. Trump cant afford to pick another middle aged whote guy. He needs to spice it up a bit. Carson will be perfect to go up against Clinton's identity politics and probably her PC outrage strategy.
