Sure, but it depends on what you want. If you never intend to start a family, and if you don't really care much for material possessions (enough to live on is OK for you), and you can tolerate unattractive girls or doing p4p, go for it.
I think most other men don't find that acceptable though. The problem with being lazy is that you're saying "I'm waiting to die". You don't move forward to somewhere better every year, you just move closer to decrepitness, ugliness, senility, and death. Not a fair trade as far as I'm concerned.
