Russia is apparently going to send their carrier, Admiral Kuznetsov, to the Mediterranean Sea.

Personally I'm very glad to hear this. The fighting against the rebels seems to have slowed to a crawl, especially in Aleppo. The sooner the war is over the better.

Russia’s only aircraft carrier, the Admiral Kuznetsov, is preparing to head to Syria to serve as a platform for carrying out airstrikes on jihadists, a military diplomatic source told TASS. It will remain in the Mediterranean until at least January 2017.
The news agency stressed that there has been no official confirmation of this information so far.
The heavy aircraft-carrying cruiser will reportedly have 15 Sukhoi Su-33 all-weather air superiority fighters and Mikoyan MiG-29K/KUB multirole fighters onboard, as well as more than 10 Kamov Ka-52K, Ka-27, and Ka-31 helicopters.
