Though of course it's all a technical argument and no one should demand any reparations for shit that happened centuries ago. Of course some tribes were better off later in the West, but now a payoff would just be made to essentially get rid of them. They are a net negative to the host country - many are - either in terms of safety or economics or irregular unproductive behavior/ even voting pattern.

All this current reparation talk ignores the elephant in the room, the fact that the slave trade was almost exclusively a Jewish business, yet the burden of generational guilt has been squarely laid upon white Southerners, and in more recent times on whites in general. IIRC at the height of slavery in the US, nearly 40% of Jewish households in coastal cities owned slaves, vs around 1% of white Christian households.
Jewish traders also controlled the slave business in South America, as well as in Muslim lands, where they were very well established in places like Andalusia, north Africa or Yemen, because they were able to establish close ties with their brethren in the western world, and also because slavery was condoned by talmudic law and its Hamitic myth. For instance Maimonides, a revered figure in Jewish history and theology, considered Black Africans to be subhuman.
