I remember Syria before the war engulfed it and it was far and away from some hostile bat shit hell hole where hate is nurtured and let loose on the world. A Top Gear special made this obvious.
Interesting points but it would be naive to think that a significant level of ISIS members aren't also hiding under the cloak of weakness to get into Europe's feminised soft underbelly.
ISIS used sleeper cells effectively in Libya and Syria.
