It's pretty well known that the Roman Catholic Church has a lot of gays in the priesthood. There has even been talk of a "gay lobby" inside the Vatican.
Still, I don't see how Protestants can feel superior on this issue. Here in New England it seems like half of the Episcopal and Unitarian churches are flying rainbow flags with signs saying, "A Welcoming Congregation" or something like that. Granted, you have your different denominations.
