Hi 262, in my opinion, India is a curious blend of modernity and conservativeness. Now, with laws being very gender biased(you may perhaps recall from our earlier conversation that I am a lawyer by profession), the females feel that they can say and do whatever they want to and get away with it. Further, the government(all of them have been equally worthless in this regard) white knight in extreme. There was an instance in northern Indian state of Haryana where two sisters got violent with some men in a bus and then claimed that they were being sexually harassed and the government was quick to announce a cash award. However, subsequent accounts by eye witnesses confirmed that the girls unnecessarily got into fights with the boys and the narrative of the girls was disproved as they failed a polygraph test as well.It later emerged that they had a habit of attacking males and then cry foul after milk turned sour.
