I have a problem with this verdict big time. It opens up a huge can of worms.
I remember back in the 1980's when people like Tipper Gore wanted to blame Ozzy Osbourne for youth suicides. There was even a band called Suicidal Tendencies. I also remember when many conservative tried to blame the Columbine tragedy on Marilyn Manson. There was even a case in which a rocker had to defend himself in a wrongful death lawsuit.
I realize that this is a much more personal and direct case, but it is still somewhat troubling. She never forced this guy to do anything. Is she a reprehensible bitch? Yes. Is she responsible for a death? I don't think so.
We have now created a situation in which anytime I hear someone even talk about suicide, I may very well have to call the authorities.
Do you guys here believe that men have moral agency and free will or not? You are giving all the power to the woman.
