devil's advocate: I don't think that was your average jezebel reader that made that comment, but a sarcastic visitor. But then maybe everyone already knows that and I look like the heel...
My dad recently passed away and at his memorial my aunt was telling a story about him being drafted for Vietnam. Among other things she said "watching this unfold made me glad that I was not born a man". Not that I want men to win the oppression olympics but I was glad and a little surprised to hear a woman with perspective beyond herself and the sisterhood.
