Hey OP, what a great post. We're in opposite situations: you are deaf, I am nearly blind. I rely solely on listening to someone's voice to assess their state of mind, and I'm very much fucked when someone doesn't speak. You would be surprised how much you can learn from someone's voice, though.
Also I use very non-reactive body language myself because if I do try to react, it's usually based on a wrong interpretation of my date's body language. My posture has been lacking lately so I'm going to use the tips in your other datasheet +1.
