Unfortunately most is correct on here. It didn't used to be that way though. Growing up here was great in the 80's and 90's, plenty of hot women around with no bitch shields, safe and good party scene. Now a lot of people have bad attitudes, blokes are either methed up or new Australians with a chip on there shoulders looking for a fight late at night.
If you are over 40 and looking to start a family it's not a bad option, cheap, safe apart from the party scene, easy to get around, lots of really good wineries and beaches. In winter it is pretty depressing though and if you're looking for good nightlife and the hottest women in the country i'd suggest going to the Gold Coast or Melbourne imho.
