Pereira Colombia

Solid post, thanks for the info. I'm gonna link this other datasheet as I felt it had a bit of validity to it also. thread-8155....ht=pereira.

My $0.02 is shared within. Stayed at two places while here. A few nights Thurs. - Sunday at Royal Hotel - Cra. 6 #5-78 located in the centro and Kolibri Hostel - Calle 4 #16-35 for the rest of the time, like 7 days. 10 days in total. Kolibri cost 65,000 COP for a double room (double occupancy) with private bathroom with very warm (not quite hot) shower water. Royal Hotel cost me 48,000 COP for also double occupancy booked on Booking.com. Bed wasn't great but overall the room was clean. Brought a girl back to both with no hassles at Royal Hotel and the front desk of Kolibri made a photocopy of my girl's ID before she could come back to my room. But no extra charges for bringing a girl in either place.

Quality of girls, pretty good with nice bodies. Saw at least one or two stunners (9+) every day. Something close to Medellín looks-wise with a slightly higher exotic/gringo factor here. Cute faces, very open to day approaches with a few exceptions. Had a SAL (Same Afternoon Lay) from a girl met at Green Beer (Centro) at like 4:30 on a Sunday. 2 hours meet to bang. Another bang from a 7+ 20 y/0 with a skinny porn star body and a slamming butt met from daygame.

CITY VIBE

All-in-all, I thought it was a pleasant place to spend nearly 10 nights. Weather is pretty warm and sunny during the day and the nights are comfortable, not hot. After hearing that it was a shithole pre-arrival from other travelers and that it was súper dangerous, I went into this place a bit guarded. The safety to me seemed overblown, even in the centro. Though there are some areas just east of centro which seemed more desperate.

The centro actually is a viable option to hang out during the day and at night but taxi is probably advisable after 9 or so on weekends. Seems pretty safe to walk around most times of day in the main streets although it gets more sketch the more east you go when walking immediately away from the centro. There are a few cool squares like Plaza Bolivar where you can get your shoes shined and buy good cheap fruit like fresh coconut or pineapple for 1000 COP a cup and Parque Lago for day game. Even the main streets, like Carrera 6 and Carrera 7 in the centro seemed like viable options for day game during daylight hours say around lunch time and just after work. I saw a few cute girls from the University Andina and even got a few numbers from students from here.

DAY GAME

In addition to the options already listed above, I believe the best areas in this city for daygame came from Plaza Victoria Mall just after work hours like 4:30-6:30, Plaza Arboleda (same times), the stretch of road from the pedestrian bridge at Plaza Victoria to Carrera 12b and then up the Carrera 13 and Carrera 14 which basically is known as the Circunvalar. Specifically, you hang hang around the front entrance of Plaza Arboleda during rush hour pretending like your are waiting for someone (there are a lot of people here already waiting for someone or a bus or just hanging out) and chat up girls going in and out of the mall. I saw a few stunners doing this.

I got my only day game bang here from approaching two young university girls from behind on the Circunvalar while wearing my backpack fully strapped up while I was on my way to move to a hotel in the centro. Luckily I don't dress like a typical slob backpacker...try to distance myself from them as much as possible. Played the tourist pretending to be lost "Where is XX Hotel," got both of their numbers, but only pursued the hotter one who was a very sexy 20 y/o nursing student. This was around 12PM or so on a Thursday. Long story short, ended up closing reasonably quickly on day 3 (makeout day 2) which basically started at my hostel because the coffee shop (located two blocks away) I wanted to bring her to was closed.

Her LMR can be described as aggressive denial. I got her back to the room and the makeouts and heavy petting was on right away. But she was stalling with taking off her pants BIG-time. She let me rub her through her pants, and I sucked on her tits, but the pants weren't coming off. Even after putting her hand on the cock she wasn't budging. I would inch them down and she would rip them right back up, and this repeated several times. Until I noticed that as this struggle was happening she would be slyly smiling and quietly giggling at me, never actually verbally saying no. It took me a while (close to an hour) to realize this girl might want to be cave-manned. So, I went for it. Very forcefully (on the brink of the force you would need to actually probably rape a girl) ripped her jeans down to around her knees, and she was fighting it pretty hard, except that she was giggling/smiling even more now and I could tell she was loving it. The struggle was fierce though like I was wrestling her. I eventually got a finger (which was a fight!) in her and from that point she was basically butter in my hands. Put her hand on the dick again and the rest is history. I have to admit her physically forceful LMR had me confused for a while. Thankfully she proved to be a valuable lesson going forward to always be perceptive/calibrated to the situation and KEEP PUSHING. She loved me for it in the end.

**Couple of tips for day game here. What seems to be working for me is approaching chicks head on when possible on the streets, malls, etc. I don't like doing the "Yad Stop "or even having to run to chase them down after passing them. I'm a very low-energy guy and running after a girl just doesn't fit my vibe. I simply put my left or right hand up and make a stop signal as they approach within 10ft or so. Then I say, "Disculpame" with good eye contact.

From here, I almost always ask first, "Hablas inglés?" or "Estoy buscando XX restaurant/hotel/etc. Dónde está?" 75% of the time, I use the first one then follow it with "Me gusta tu estilo/pantalon/camisa/pelo," etc. while making solid eye contact. Going direct or at least indirect followed by direct seems to work pretty well in Colombia.

Sometimes I also like to ask, "Cuantos novios tienes?" (got this from some day game youtube video) which I've actually gotten 2 bangs from Colombia in day game alone from using this to playfully probe them. Usually they respond one of three ways: (1) "Solo uno" which I will then ask, "Así que tienes unas amigas lindas que están solteras?; or (2) they respond, "Cinco" which i will then respond, "Bueno, así que puedes espacio para una más entonces" while smiling and then banter a bit and eventually ask her out to a coffee/beer/etc; (3) she will respond "cero" in which case it is usually a good sign and you can banter and ask out as usual and get number or instadate.

NIGHT GAME

Did this literally two nights on Friday and Saturday. Friday night seemed very dead on Circunvalar. Went to a place called Camden Town Gastro Pub - Calle 11N #12b - 20 first and they had a nice selection of good craft beer from Colombia (3 Cordilleras Mestiza Pale Ale) although it was pricey (I'm on a budget of roughly 140,000 COP/day including everything) around 9-10k with 10% propina for a draft beer. Otherwise it was quite dead around 9:30-10PM on Friday.

Next place I went to was called MELMAC - Calle 12 #13-36. They had a pretty good cover band (starts at 10:30) playing some classics like Blind Melon - No Rain, Radiohead - Creep, a few Colombian 80's hits, Audioslave - Like a Stone, and a few other good ones. It wasn't as cheesy as I'd feared it would be. Would recommend with a date as there was a small bar with 4 or 5 seats and the rest tables. They have a package where you can buy 3 Club Colombia beers for 15,000 COP or something, free cover. I did get a number from a group of two girls sitting next to me at the bar but the girl was flaky as fuck with wanting to hang out so I ignored her after 2-3 days.

I ended the night at a place called Liquid - Calle 6 #11 Local 3 which I thought was known for it's electronic music. They were playing electronic music when I arrived but it was more like really shitty techno music with no vocals. I prefer electro/trance/house or something more funky with which to dance. Aside from the terrible music, 10000 COP+ (I can't remember exact price) Coronas, and literally having maybe 20 people in the club, 25% of whom were what appeared to be female sex tourists (average to slightly-above average looking chicks) literally throwing themselves at these average-looking Colombian dudes. I watched that spectacle for the time it took me to finish a beer (why did I buy a beer is my first question) and then called it a night, very unimpressed.

For what it's worth, people have told me that clubs located in Dosquebradas (other town nearby) is better for late late night life (2-3AM plus) with mingling and dancing.

Saturday, only went to club Helium 2025 - Calle 23 #5-75 Centro. There was pretty good music, which was a mix of good electronic club music (trance, dance, etc), reggae, reggaeton, and combinations of these. The quality of women didn't seem very good. I think I saw one 7 and she was scooped up quick by a Colombian dude who seemed to know all the bar staff. Otherwise, I think drinks were pretty cheap here. The cover was something super cheap like 3,000 COP.

AFTERNOON GAME AND DATE SPOTS

Got a random lay from an afternoon approach. I'm calling it a SAL (Same Afternoon Lay). This happened after a cheap date that went nowhere with several failed kiss attempts at Café Parnaso - Cra 6 #23-35 Centro. Café Parnaso has a nice seated courtyard area great for escalating and chatting with a girl. They have BBC beers priced somewhere around the 7000 COP mark from memory. Whatever you do, don't order the coffee (see below for coffee recs), it is pretty terrible.

After this date when I was walking back home, saw this chick (20 y/o 6 with nice body) with a friend drinking in the balcony of Green Beer located in Centro on Carrera 6 overlooking the street around 4:30 in the afternoon on Saturday. I bought a beer and set next to them like 2 bar stools away doing my own thing. After 10 mins I made my move after my target's friend magically walks away, with zero explanation. Long story short she was in my room and deal sealed within 2 hrs. Total expenses includes probably 12,000 COP including a slice of hawaiian pizza on the walk back to the bar to drop her off after haha.

FOOD, COFFEE, ETC.

Had lunch several times from a place on the Circunvalar. Cost 5000 COP with a tasty soup, changing meal from lomo de cerdo, some sort of beef, chicken dish, with rice, beans, etc. Very hearty food and good portions. It was west of the Arboleda Mall and directly to the left of another similarly priced hole-in-the-wall eatery...can't remember the name.

Maria La Mexicana - Av. Circunvalar Calle 10 N 15-14 - Probably the best Chilaquiles I've had outside of Mexico, in Latin America. Cost in the range of 15,000 COP.

Aly Torres - Located in the front of Kolibri Hostel - Surprisingly good food to be affiliated with a hostel. Had a cream of carrot soup, pan seared sea bass with a delicious parmesan cheese sauce, steamed veggies, a salad, rice, and a drink for like 11,000 COP.

Comboy Pizza - Carrera 7a. No. 21 - 19 Centro - Their hawaiian pizza slice priced at 4000 COP for some reason had me coming back for more. The crust was also stuffed with guava jelly. It was a tasty surprise. Also fed a SAL a slice from here post-bang.

El Barista Cafe - Carrera 15 #4-17 - Located about two blocks from Kolibri hostel. Great date spot with best coffee roasted a few times every week. Has ok food but the coffee is the main draw. The pourovers are pretty good. Only open past 2PM until midnight or later. Saw a few stunners here, but they were with other older Colombian dudes.

Park Motos Smoke Shop is a smoke shop located on the Circunvalar where you can buy vaporizers or even demonstrate on their vaporizers in the back of the shop. They have a few different vaporizers like the Storz and Bickl Crafty and other high-end vapes. The young people running the shop are friendly and can help you find herbs if that is your thing.

Santa Rosa Termales - Located outside of a town town called Santa Rosa (10k+ outside of Santa Rosa), worth the trip. Cost 20,000 COP entry weekdays and 30,000+ COP weekends. Has a nice waterfall and pretty decently hot pools, although they weren't very sulfery. Getting buses to there from Pereira are from the Pedestrian bridge at Parque Victoria. Although transport to the hot springs to and from Santa Rosa is a bit tricky as the buses are not very constant.

CLOSING THOUGHTS

From what I could see, I could probably return here in the future. Made a few friends and got a couple girls here for future repeat bangs. The quality of girls is pretty nice, there is a bit, but not much, to do, and it would be worth coming back just to try another night life spot like Dosquebradas. It's a pretty chilled out city, with cool mountain views and very nice weather. Sunny, warm days but comfortable nights.
