If you get assigned to a lesbian manager, just commit hari-kari now

In my industry (IT) there seem to be more and more female managers. They accept low salaries, are loyal rule followers, and usually have decent social skills if they are a manger. They also can rarely do the actual work. What we are seeing is more corporate HR managerial types and less earning their stripes in lower jobs.

Take note of how many women are in the department as a whole, this is bellweather to the overall corporate culture. If you are dealing with one lesbo in an otherwise male dominated office, you should be fine. If you are in meetings with 50% women, you are in trouble.

With a Lesbian boss, in a female corporate culture.... Don't expect to get promoted. To many vaginas she can maneuver ahead of you. Do your job well, get some experience and make a lateral move now or in 1 - 2 years.

Totally seeing the same. I don't work in IT but in another, formerly mostly-male corporate HQ function (think finance, law, etc). There seems to be a new rule in the #metoo era, which is "D&I" (diversity and inclusion) takes precedence over ability. So, i'm seeing a HUGELY disproportionate share of promotions going to women, latinos, and other "POCs". Which means if you are a 40 yr-old male in a Fortune 500 company, you are likely to end up with a 30 yr old female or POC boss shortly. The POC men tend to be fine, if they're competent, and most men who get promoted seem to have adequate competency. The women tend to be the stuff of NIGHTMARES. I knew one woman in 30 years who i'd happily work for again. She wasn't even my boss, she was my bosses boss. Boss was an insecure guy who liked to fire his talented underlings to kill off the competition. She protected us, even the white males.

That's one in 30 years. Lena's comet comes by nearly as frequently.

You do the math...if you work in a large company with a skewed M-F ratio, you are likely to be MISERABLE.

I'd become a dentist if i had it to over again, or some other form of MD. No cunt diversity-hire bosses to deal with. But if you're already too far into your field to change now, one option to not have it as bad is to AVOID fortune 500's and work for smaller companies, say, below $1B in revenues. They can still be sizable companies - just not so big that they have enough money to waste on non-performing managers.

p.s. The comment "If you are in meetings with 50% women, you are in trouble" shows someone who has been around the block a few times. That is a KEY bellweather. One time i took a job where i was the ONLY male in the group, and the women in the group were all older and had worked together for years and years. And they were all over-promoted - none of them were very smart or sophisticated, despite being in VERY well-paying jobs. It's like working at Walmart's headquarters: You may work for the largest retailer in history...but you're still in Bentonville, AK working with a bunch of hicks who have never lived outside of arkansas and whose life experience is very, very narrow. Anyway, these broads i worked with drove me INSANE - every meeting started with 45 minutes of chit-chat! Then another 90 minutes of dancing around the issues, but NEVER resolving anything. So EVERY meeting was like Dave Barry's description of women discussing relationships: "They will continue to discuss this subject for weeks, never reaching any definite conclusions but never getting bored with the conversation, either."

God, it was hell. And these were STRAIGHT women!

Never choose to work for a woman if you can avoid it, fellas. And NEVER, EVER subject yourself to working for a lesbian who, deep-down, sees you as the enemy and wants you castrated. Because she wants to sleep with all the cute girls who mostly desire men. THAT's why you're the enemy. You did know that, right??
