Las Vegas on the Cheap

Las Vegas on the Cheap

One thing about Vegas that baffles me is how people don't mention it's a major American city with regular folks and restaurants everywhere even on The Strip with normal prices for food and shit.

The biggest pain the ass is actually getting there because of the massive size of the casino complexes but you can easily buy "regular" affordable food and drinks all over the place.

It's not exactly a health nuts dream but when I'm there I just eat at Denny's or a local cheap Thai place or whatever I would eat in any other major American city. The prices are no different than anywhere else and in fact they are cheaper than the NYC and London's of the world as far as a solid breakfast or dinner for $10 if you order an entree and drink water. Again think Denny's or cheap Chinese spots, etc.

Additionally even bringing a flask is almost unnecessary as you can drink, and thus pregame, in public. The drinking laws are so lax in Clark County you can buy booze at any gas station or corner store which is all around the Strip. The way I do this is simply buy my six pack or tall boy or whatever and drink it on my way to the bar or whatever. By the time I'm there, I'm already so nice and buzzed I only drink one or two things at the venue.

Additionally the Strip is filled with promotional food and drink shit everywhere. If you are about to go to a club and need a quick bite or a pick me up drink, especially in the middle of the Strip near places like Planet Hollywood you can easily find a full pint of Heineken or whatever deal for dirt cheap. And again 7-11 and all that shit is everywhere if you need to keep your prices down on water food booze whatever.

Lastly don't neglect Old Town Vegas as a nice place to stay for the cheap which has more character. We've stayed at 4Queens or whatever that place is called and it was great. You are more likely to find locals or UNLV students around there and there are actual regular bars to game in there not just crazy casinos or expensive clubs.

In general Vegas is one of the most affordable and logistically sound places to game or party or whatever. The biggest downsides to me are the amount of fat tourists with their family in the daytime (day game kind of sucks in this regard - better to work your way into hotel pools and pool parties) and the amount of trashy gold digger chicks and their accompanying fake baller orbiters.

Other than that I love Vegas and it's much cheaper to have an epic time there than fucking LA or even NYC if you don't know what you're doing.
