Peru game

Peru game

Kronenberg I was in the bar for less than two minutes. Its a fucking bar not a restuarant, does everybody who walks into a bar have to buy something in the first 5 minutes? (even in restaurants they give you more time than that). Besides the place was nearly empty (I wonder why...) so its not like he needed the table. Besides the kind of fucker that harrasses you like that when you walk in, you can be sure that if you order a drink the second you finish it he will be harassing you to buy another overpriced ($5 or 6 per drink). I remember one time me and two Peruvian girls were sitting in a different bar a few weeks ago. Every 5 minutes the waitress harassed us to buy something, the 3rd time we refused (there were heaps of empty tables mind you) she asked us to leave. Coincidentally I walked past the same bar last night, and guess what? Not a single fucking customer was in there. I predict the bar will be bankrupt within 6 months. How dumb can business owners in Cusco be?

Besides even if I do not buy anything from their bar me sitting in their miserable empty bar will at least make it look like there are some customers so passers by will be more tempted to enter the shithole (after all if you walk past a place and its empty you will probably think its shit and will not enter) So really the dumb fuck owners should be grateful for my presence in the shithole establishments.

I went to a pharmacy a week ago to get some antibiotics. I went to the counter and lined up and asked for what I wanted. Then they gave me a peice of paper with a number on it and told me to go to another counter and wait there (which was in the middle of the pharmacy fully enclosed/secured by a plastic wall) to pay. So I pay and they give me a receipt and then tell me to go to line up at a third countr with the receipt to collect the medicine. So I line up at 3rd counter to collect my antibiotics. I can only imagine what it would be like to apply for some sort of permit, visa or license from the governemnt here.

The amount of pharmacies, restaurants, corner stores, currency exchanges, etc that have their counter fully shielded behind plastic/acrylic walls in Cusco is amazing. Do they think everyone will fucking rob them? Not to mention often when you walk into a store to browse the owner will watch you the whole time to make sure you do not steal. Its like everyone tries to fuck over everybody else here and they expect you to try and fuck them over (they will certainly try and fuck you over). Nobody trusts anybody in Cusco.

Sometimes (not always, but often) when I walk into a store and say for example "Buenas tardes, como esta?" The shop keeper just stares at me blankly. Its not hard to be polite and say "bien, y tu?" Instead of just staring at me. I am a tourist who actually bothered to greet you in your own langauge at least have the fucking manners to greet me back.
