The natives in Peru seem to originally have a very dark color, compared to most of the Amazon where they are just tanned. Must have to do with the high elevation UV and open sun and is an evolutionary effect of the Andes region. So they are really quite dark and even mixed ones retain significant pigment. But I still don't know why people oppose the looks. I am one to appreciate India, Africa and anywhere so I like the way they are.
