If you decide to be in Bulgaria, you'd have to split your time between the beach in May-September, and Sofia the rest of the time. Which means buying two apartments if you really insist on having your own place.
And the one in Varna will be hard to rent out just for the winter months.
K-man what city if any do you think still has vacation rental potential in the winter time in EE? I was thinking Prague would probably be the easiest and best ROI. Do you see any other cities mentioned in this post as Vacation rental income potential even in the Winter?
