Men paying for sex is illegal because it removes power from women. For a clear example, see the Swedish Model (that Canada recently subscribed to):
The above means that sex workers (pretty much females) are "victims" that deserve to be supported and protected, but patrons (pretty much males) are "predators" that deserve to be shamed and punished.
