For sure, the constant stress of bad traffic, pollution, marginal nutrition ( no fresh vegetables, white rice as staple as 90% of diet, fish from polluted water ( here in Phils) and just knowing a disease that would be minor in the First World can permanently disableor kill your loved ones, including perhaps the only breadwinner.
I see many young women and men walking around wincing on the polluted streets of Cebu holding makeshift filters like handkerchiefs over their faces.
The clear difference in beauty even between an 18 year old and a 20 or 21 year old ( of course girls under 18 are completely invisible) highlights how toxic the environment can be in Third World.
