Don't get how they can rank the US in the number 2 group considering the reciprocal fee issue. Just off the top of my head a person with a UK or German passport could go to China, Tanzania, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and Bolivia for free or low fees. An American would have to shell out at least $100 for each of them, often over $150 as in China and Brazil. That is a HUGE difference. I blew at least 1k plus in visa fees when I traveled long term simply because I had a US passport.
The US government is absolutely stupid for charging other nations so much in fees which causes them to charge Americans high fees. It just hurts tourism to the US and hurts Americans traveling abroad. Of course, it is not like the US government gives a fuck about its own citizens so whatever. The land of raping the little guy.
