Wicked thread! Very well may have just reignited my interest in coins. I did a brief stint of coin roll hunting a couple years ago, started looking for silver in quarters and dimes but ended up switching to nickels. I'm from Canada and most nickels pre 1982 are pure nickel, at the time nickel was trading pretty high and it worked out that every pre 82 nickel was worth 10 cents. Ended up trading a guy $100 worth of these nickels for 3 1oz Canadian Maples (Silver was at like $43 at the time) and an 1867 Half Crown, sold the 3oz of silver immediately and still have the Half Crown. Just moved to Alberta from Ontario, I wonder how clean picked the banks are here. May have to grab a couple boxes on Monday and find out.
