The US Mint is selling commemorative gold versions of the 1916 coinage. They are starting with the Mercury dime. I encourage you to take a gander at the Mint website.

I wish I could tell you that it's a sellout, but the mintage limit seems a bit high. I'll probably grab one, but I'm only speculating. There are better ways to buy gold (as most of you know), but this may have some additional numismatic value to modern collectors.
