I've been lifting for about 5 years now. Hard. Never lifted before in my life. I'm in my 40's.
In my 5th year I finally am seeing the results of trying to build the strength and physique I've always wanted. That physique that causes women to look when you take off your shirt at the pool, even 20-something's.
My only advise is that you pick a program, any program and stick with it. 5x5, SS, 5-3-1 whatever lift hard, eat like a bear and sleep.
It takes time and there are no shortcuts.
