Lima, Peru WINTER 2014 datasheet

This is a WINTER Lima datasheet. If you go during summer months it will be a different story. Also I left out information that has been mentioned in other Lima datasheets.

Other datasheets (Keep in mind some info on them is dated or mean't for summer):
Lima Peru: A Whiteboy's Pussy Paradise
Fisto Recons Lima Peru
Lima, Peru Datasheet

Number of nights out: 13
Money Spent: $2900 USD
Accommodation: Hotel Sheraton

Girls:

After reading the forum data on Lima going on this trip I was expecting a sea of ugly girls everywhere I look. Unless you know where to look this is certainly true. I got 5 lays on this trip but only one I would consider being hot and that is because she was a gym nut. The rest of the girls I got where average of what I’m used too (which isn’t that high to begin with, just being honest).

On the other hand towards the end of my trip I learned that all the hotties were either hiding or they get lost in a sea of piranhas. On the plus side I will re-enforce what has been said on this forum and that the girls are wayyyyy to easssyyy. If you can’t get laid here it’s your own fault.

Besides being way too easy and very lenient on condom use the girls are pretty good at speaking English and even better when it comes too texting.

Cost:
After coming back from a tough rotation on the rigs I took the first flight out of Edmonton and paid dearly for it. After plane and my rip hotel my expenses were pretty cheap. Cheap food, drinks (depends where) and if you want to do groceries you pay cents on the dollar. Another plus is that the girls are so easy you really don’t have to invest a lot of coin on them.

Accommodation: If I can do trip again I would either stay at the Westin or get an apartment in Barranco area near the street San Martin. My stay at the Sheraton was pretty expensive and this hotel was far far far from the action. All the girls complained about how far it was but once inside they were happy as can be no need to tell them that I get comped 50% off my room service.

Places to eat:
Punta Sal: Ceviche place not as good as Chez Wong but still pretty bad ass. Start with a shot or two of leche de tigre then order the Potato rolled maki to start. After that hit up “El Asesino” as your main dish.

Mercado Central: Tell the taxi to take you to the market in Centro there’s a few but hopefully he brings you to the big one (blue roof with two floors). Real good food here and if you’re on a budget you can get a week’s grocery for a couple of bucks. Make sure to eat that street meat on a stick.

El forolito: This place is awesome. Good environment, no tourists and the price is pretty decent. I got a porcion personlida of chiccarron for 25 sol. Awesome stuff if you have apartment I recommend buying half a kilo or something so you can have it for midnight snack. Taxi drivers come here to eat so you know its legit. A bonus is the waitresses are pretty cute.

Chez Wong: After watching the Peru episode of Anthony Bourdain I thought that this resto would be extraordinary. Food is great don’t get me wrong but the price is just over the top. Make sure to make reservation as the place is small but honestly I would skip this place and just hit up the other hundreds of ceviche places that deliver just as tasty food.

Calle Capon: The “China town” of Lima. It has pretty good Chinese food and a surprisingly good place to hang around for an afternoon. Right beside this street you can see people holding small dogs for sale.

Places to Go during Day:
I would like to start by saying that the museums here are pretty shit. Compared to other museums around world I would skip the museums all together. I was disappointed by all of them then gave up on them to just explore city. I heard the church of San Francisco is cool since it has catacombs but I don’t go into churches so I wouldn’t know.

Polvos Azules: Place to buy electronics and fake shoes. Prices are whack and the fake clothes are really bad quality. I would go to check it out and get a feel for prices then head on down to Las Malvinas and La Cachinas. Cheap dvds though that has telenovela series too practice your Spanish.

Las Malvinas: DON’T COME HERE if you don’t speak at least basic Spanish or if you look like a sucker ready to give up your lunch money. This is the place where you can buy all kinds of goods that have been “taken” away from their original owners. You will find Phones, watches, jewelry, basically anything that a mugger would get if he jumped someone. Hustle hard when bargaining.

La Chachina: Right beside Las Malvinas this place is to buy all your lifted good from clothes to shoes to ps4’s. Put on your serious face and don’t wear valuables, use common sense and you should be fine.

Note: For Las Malvinas & La Cachina some taxis don’t want to take you saying it’s too dangerous for gringos. Say thank you and jump into the next one who will take you.

Gamarra: ***Favorite Day Game Location*** Clothes factories at wholesale prices. I was hung over when I first came here so I wasn’t really looking really good at stuff until I saw lots of girls running around trying to score some deals. The Game Plan for Gamarra is ask a cute girl where something is then bring up that you think the salespeople are ripping you off and if she can help.

Donnie’s top 3 Centro Commercials to shop and hang around
1.Real Plaza Salaverry
2.El Jockeye Plaza
3.Plaza Larcomar (nicest but too many tourists taking stupid pictures everywhere)

Santa Anita: This place is ghetto as fuck. I’m talking about burning tires on fire on the side of road, taxi driver asking to hide bag under seat type of stuff. Was warned by girls and taxi drivers to stay out of there but they have a University of San Martin de Porres that has students studying law that are real cute. If you go to the University by taxi and just stick literally in the entrance of school where the lil restos, and juice shops are you can do SERIOUS damage here. Just don’t go wandering too far and make sure you have a taxi to bring you back that’s legit. I actually came here by mistake as I was meeting a chick from the same university but from Communications department which was in Miraflores. I just asked girls if this was the right area and then they began to laugh and give directions to real place. I managed to get two numbers in less than half an hour but never followed up on them as my plate was already full.

Bonus: There is a huge Cemetery here that is pretty cool to go and explore in. It’s really old and has lots of history, I was told that if you go in Miraflores to one of the tour people they will take you here during night.

Day Game: Real hard in Lima if you’re not blind or have at least some standards. After few days I skipped it altogether and just explored city and ate lunch at awesome restos. Although I would note that the few times I did approach they were all hits except one and she was still nice enough to bullshit with me for a few minutes outside the Starbucks in Barranco. To make it short, don’t go out for purposes to day game, go out because you gotta do or see something and if you see a cute girl then that’s a plus but don’t count on it or you will be falling asleep on a bench waiting for girls. If you really want to do it stick around University entrances and if you want to go in just tell guard you want to register for a class.

Night Spots:

Aura: “Not what it used to be” was what the locals kept saying. I showed up anyways solo early in the night. Paid 50 Sol to get in and the place was way to empty so I left then came back around 1:30 AM thinking the 2:00 AM would be good. It was a bunch of underage girls and boys who are drinking for first time in their life. This was the biggest let down of trip since I kept on reading about it on the forum. Hung around until 3:00 (mostly in bar upstairs talking to two bartenders and making fun of customers). They tell me I should go Bizarro as it is more my style.

Bizarro: Show up around 3 AM and there is small line. Huge door and bouncer keeps on slamming it not to let anyone in. I wait few minutes until he opens it a crack and says “50 Sol”. I pay him and get in and DAMNNN finest girls I have seen the whole trip. Crowd is 25+ and everyone is having a good time. 2 bars when you enter they play like rock music in the first then in other room is more Salsa, latin music. I chose salsa spot. Feel free to wear some nice clothes if you come here.

Gotica: Met up with forum member Bragga and he told me he had great night here. After going to Aura I was a bit suspicious of going back for Gotica but went anyways. Wasn’t jammed but managed to get a number and kiss a girl a bit while dancing. If stayed the whole night probably could have pulled a girl (maybe a dumpser dive girl but a girl none the less) but I just got way too hammered with 35 sol greygoose. Ended up asking taxi drivers to bring me to place that I can dance to the song “Kulipandeo” One guy for 15 sol brought me to place in La Vittoria that I have no idea what it was called but it was trash. Guys with big polos and baseball caps and girls that looked banged up. They didn’t play song but I got to laugh my ass off. If I wasn’t alone I would have stayed here as a chance of hook up was close to 100% but it was pretty sketch.

Picas: Cool place with great atmosphere. Make this spot a must go.

Calle de Pizzas: This street sucks. Tourists, ugly hookers and bad food. I would pass on this place altogether Lima has a lot cooler places to go too than this.

Mushrooms Bar. It is in Miraflores and it is a pretty good place to start your night in. Awesome drink specials so be careful or before you know it you will be too wasted before your night begins.

Weekly Lineup:
If you can get a girl to meet you Sunday or Monday it is pretty good since most places close early or are closed. So you can go to a shitty place then say this place sucks lets go back to my hotel. Both days I got two different girls by bringing them to this shitty Irish Bar near Parque Kennedy after walking around “trying to find good place”. No idea what name was of place but it was Irish and sucked. Good thing it closes at 12 on those nights so you can bounce early.

Sunday: Have something lined up or stay in. I heard Niza nightclub was good on Sundays for barrio bitches but didn’t have a chance to go.

Monday: Have Something lined up or stay in.

Tuesday: Sargento Pimienta and go After midnight. They play salsa music on that night. Stay on bar farthest from entrance.

Wednesday: Barranco Bar for salsa Wednesdays or go to Tizon Dragon. I prefer Barranco Bar but if your not feeling one place that night just cab it to the other.

Thursday: Help! Younger crowd with easy chicks. Only went once and it was for short time since my girl was down to leave. I would go here earlier to check the scene then come back later in night. Mushrooms Bar is a great place to go early on in the night. I believe it is ladies night on Thursdays.

Friday: Torro Bar then later in night head over to Bizzarro at around 3-4 AM.

Saturday: Wherever you want.

Pro tips from the locals:
When eating ceviche makes sure you eat the ceviche juice that is left at the end. This is the most concentrated and tastiest part.

Since taxis don’t have meters you must learn to haggle. When they say 10 you say 6. When they go no 10 you reply with “Pero hermano me puedo ir a (insert location that is farther than your destination) por esa precia”

Most places include the tip and then ask you to add another propina on top of that when you pay by credit card. Im a tip slut so I always added 15%-25% anyways.

HAIL MARYS work very well in Lima. If you’re with a girl and not sure if you can pull it off, just go for it chances are you get to stick it in. If I knew this in beginning I would have got with more/hotter girls by just pulling crazy/desperate/long shot moves left and right.

During later part of trip I found that Lima has Uber Taxi. It’s legit and at night these guys are actually cheaper than taxi a random taxi off the street.

Green Shirts: If you want to buy some green shirts you can get them really cheap in Lima. For one shirt it cost around 8-10 sol or two for 15. For that fresh DKNY green deep v-neck it will cost around 15 sol.

White Shirts: I didn’t need any for trip but the bathroom attendant from strip club knew where to find that 80% cotton and 20% polyester stuff.

Kulipandeo: If you want to make girls laugh then ask if they know a place that plays this song/type of music as you heard it was really good. The higher class the chick the better it works.

Dress Code: I was over dressed almost everywhere I went. Unless you’re at top places and even then leave your three piece suits and tuxedos at home.

Pisco Sour: The Peruvian specialty drink. If you’re doing shots then get a Pisco that is a Mostro verde grape and if you want to mix then get one that is an Italia. If you want a cool bottle to bring back that’s good then buy the Quebranta brand it looks like a belvedere bottle.

Final Thoughts: Lima is great to go visit but it is definitely not an urgent place you must visit asap. I found the city to be pretty boring compared to Medellin and Mexico City where I wanted to be out and about exploring all day and night. If your happy to eat great food, and bang average girls with minimal effort then check out Lima. Finally Lima is pretty ugly with lots of sketch looking places but nothing ever happened to me, although I was warned almost daily.

As always feel free to ask anyway questions or PM for any questions or more details on anything. Im usually under the influence on these trips so I always forget stuff when writing these but if you ask I might remember and have an answer.
