Just adding a daygame option for this. Mimosa and Bloody Mary brunches, here are the plusses I see of them.
1. I get tired out early at night, so drinking late is just bad news
2. You can eat a big time breakfast before going out, being a girl its unlikely she will have eaten before showing up to brunch so now you are full stomach vs. empty
3. Easier transition, you can use a line like "man, I really don't feel like doing anything today. I think I'm just going to sit on the couch, drink beer and watch netflix, what about you?"...no girl has plans on a sunday and so if she responds with 'I don't know, or that sounds awesome' you then invite her...You can't pull that at a bar without seeming antisocial or a rapist
4. Girls don't go out to brunch with friends
5. Easier to introduce booze. Ie, get her to 'come out for breakfast' and then after she agrees just go to a bloody mary place.
6. You have daylight on your side! No being duped by club lighting.
7. I have never seen white knighting or cock blocking at brunch.
