Social justice warrior shares tips on how to take down Facebook pages

This tactic has been successfully used against ROK, but by sharing this tips, I don't think they realize that it could be used against themselves.

In this post I will share with you how both pages were taken down, so that you might do it to misogynist and fake radical feminist pages in return.

Step #1: What not to do.

- Don’t report the entire page. This never works. Facebook moderators simply delete these reports from your reporting log or they mark them as “no evidence found off…” I take it this is because they just can’t be arsed with sifting through and entire page and they don’t have our keen eye for fakery and misogyny. They will simply not bother to take such a report seriously.

- Don’t leave messages on the offending page. Also don’t PM them. They know they are offensive, that’s the whole point. All this accomplishes is that you put yourself on their radar and you don’t want to lose your account in these ridiculous Facebook wars. I will talk about the advantage of having multiple accounts later.

- Don’t link to the page you want gone. You want to give them as little traffic as possible, plus it is possible at times to track a link. Don’t do it. Instead, tell people how they can find the fake and offending pages.

Step #2: Reporting effectively.

-Report individual images on the page. Reporting an image is quick and many reported images don’t get scrutinized. They get deleted as a precaution, especially if they are reported as porn. Facebook seems to be particularly allergic too stuff perceived as porn. Reporting an image has the added bonus of getting an admin or two from that page blocked from Facebook for a time. If they get blocked repeatedly their block could go up as high as 30 days. In some cases all admins get banned, whether they posted the image or not.

-Be patient. It took our attackers several months to take down the previous two pages. Eventually someone at Facebook will make the decision to unpublish the page if it shows enough problems.

-Report all images as “porn.” Whether an image actually contains porn or not is irrelevant. Though to make your actions less suspicious you might want to mix up your reports with “hate speech,” “copyright violation,” etc. To Facebook it’s all the same, because their reporting system is, like their moderators are, a joke. It is obvious they walk around with their heads up their arses 24/7.

Step #3: Create an army.

-Get your friends involved. You will never take down a page on your own. It will require many reports over a long period of time. It could take you months, sometimes a year to get something taken down, but in the end it’s well worth the effort.

- Create sock-puppet accounts. In this war Facebook may decide you are the problem and ban your account or block you from it a few times. Always have a back-up or do all your reporting with your sock-puppet accounts. Having multiple accounts also increases the number of times you can report anything on a page.

- Create believable accounts. Sometimes new accounts get reported as fake faster than anything. In which case Facebook will demand a phonenumber and you don’t want to give them that under any circumtances, especially with their new sieve of a privacy policy about to go into effect.

In order to create a believable account you need to send out friend’s requests, but not too many. Don’t send out more than a handful at the time and wait till they are all accepted, otherwise delete the open ones, before you send out new requests.

Use a profile picture, but don’t use your own and be careful which image you select for this. If you get claims of copy rights violations against your account or your account is reported as fake, within days of creating it, you lose that account instantly.

Like mainstream things, such as famous movies, actors, music, sports, etc.

Finally, create some personal posts on your sock-puppet account and maybe get some people to leave comments. That should make your account look real enough.

It can also help to make your sock-puppet accounts male. Male users seem to have more credit with Facebook than female-users.

Step 4: As a bonus.

-Hide your ip-address. I have never experienced such instances myself, but there are reports of Facebook tracking ip-addresses of their users. This may just be fear-mongering, but if you really want to be on the safe-side and are a little tech-savvy use a VPN or Proxy, like TOR. TOR is really easy to use. It’s just a browser you download and use instead of your regular browser. Though considering what morons seem to work at Facebook I seriously doubt many of them even know the concept of matching ip-addresses, but here you have my last tip all the same.

Thanks, feminist! [Image: thumb.gif]
