I really think the Sperry Top Siders aren't costing you much height. Compared to some cold weather footwear maybe but it's about the best option for summer.....Note: NOT all boat shoes are the same..
FWIW I throw a set of heel supports in all my shoes. Call it to try hard that's fine but it pushes me over the 6' threshold which gives a confidence boost and makes it easier to imagine being 7' tall like McQueen talks about
