Yeah Patricia Campbell gives the response I'd have given - no one can have it all. Life is defined by scarcity, by prioritizing some things over others. Being a father means leading a life where I am most certain to provide for my family - while being single would allow me to take more risks, without children to feed. OMG I CAN'T HAVE IT ALL.

I routinely find that speaking with simplicity and sense is enough to have others deem you obnoxious and offensive.
