I'm in my mid 30's, and if someone asked me to describe in a qualitative sense the difference between a 21 year old American girl and a 27 year old American girl, I'd be pretty hard pressed to tell ya. It seems to me like many Western women stay in a state of arrested development well into their 4th decade of life.
At my age, there are basically two categories of women: between 20 and 40, and not.
