James Bond's archnemesii (yes, plural) Blofeld and Scaramanga (Man with the Golden Gun assassin) conspired together with the "Grays" to use the aliens' aircraft control technology to divert and hide the plane under a rock in an island in the Andaman Sea, just north of the last radar contact.
