Great post. I really like the idea of pushing your boundaries and setting aside time for comfort. I'm an introvert and it wears me out to constantly be around people. I need the time to relax.
I started getting shirts tailored a few months ago and I have seen similar results. Not only with women, but when I am on campus and I have a big day where I need to get stuff done I will dress up. People just roll right out of my way. I know I wouldn't have the same luck in LA or NYC but on campus it works wonders. People are a lot more accommodating when you are dressed better than them.
I bought my first blazer and pocket square yesterday. I'm excited to try that out.
