I was thinking the same thing -- classic liberalism (i.e., the liberalism of the Founding Fathers). Modern (true) conservatives (i.e., constitutionalists) are classic liberals.
In fairness, cardguy did say "a form of liberalism," so perhaps that is what he meant.
