Just add another day to your lifting schedule on the weekdays. If it's too difficult to wake up on weekends or you lack the motivation, just stick with weekday lifts.
When I hit the gym, I try to shy away from weekend lifting because I just want to go out and do something fun instead of making myself physically exhausted. Weekend lifting only ruins my plans.
