I actually was postulating some potential advantages in adoption the other day (though I'm not a legal expert), such as not having to worry about scenarios such as an ex-girlfriend who you have a biological kid with being able to stick you for child support while at the same time denying you custody.
Or at very least knowing the kid is really "your kid", and not having to worry about a kid she carries in her womb having originated from another guy's sperm.
(If a couple adopts and agrees not to have their own kids, then if she ever does get pregnant you can be virtually guaranteed that she cheated).
Ideas worth considering rather than dismissing off the bat as "cuckoldry".
Personally, I would not adopt regardless of my ability or inability to have biological children, but I can understand it if someone is infertile. If you're able to have kids but still choose to adopt rather than have your own? That's not entirely normal, in my book.
And yes, I stand by my analysis.
If single man were to adopt (which is actually legal apparently) and have full custody then he wouldn't have to worry about that problem with any woman he dates, just saying.
