That's nonsense, considering that the same drug can have no effect in some people and completely different effects in others. Indeed, the entire reason there are "off label uses" for drugs is because a given drug may affect some people in ways that differ from what the drug was intended to be used for.
Moda has been used by thousands of guys and there are case reports all over the Internet about what it does; and what it does is do far more than keep people awake.
By far the most consistent effect reported is reduction of fatigue - that is what is prescribed for after all.
There are plenty of other effects that you may find but for the most part these could be attributed to the placebo effect. Thinking that you'll be "much more aware of your surroundings", "see much better" and other effects related to focus are on the whole not corroborated by most anecdotal reports or scientific evidence, though they may still occur for a small percentage of people for a small percentage of time.
Modafinil is still a hella awesome drug though for it's price. I just bought 2 years worth just in case this stuff gets harder to get hold of, I call it my elixir of life.
