let me give you an example.
- I get a girl's # off okcupid on a Thursday
- On Saturday or so I suggest a meet up sometime on Mon-Wed
- Girl says she can't due to some major research project she's working on
- I say ok cool, I understand, I'll ask again in a few days
- She appreciates this, and things are okay over text, with very good response times from her
- On Friday I propose a meet up on Sunday or Tuesday
- She says she's going camping on the weekend, but will be back on Sunday, and so Sunday evening's good
- I tease her, wondering whether she'll bring her A-Game on Sunday after the trip; she says she definitely will
- I confirm the location (so and so intersection) and time (830pm) at 3pm on the Sunday
- At 835pm she sends a single text saying that her phone had died while camping
- Seems fishy; I log in on okcupid and she's online
- Angered, I text "Whatever. Take care" and get no reply after that
so I tolerated one flake (legit or not), but did not tolerate a second. how many will you tolerate before you next a girl? will you keep going until you get radio silence? or do you have a set limit?
i'm guessing if the girl were hotter, I probably would have played it off like it was nothing ("oh yeah, didn't hear from you so I made other plans... went and did [so and so cool activity]"), and tried once more. but I dunno.
