I live on the water and saw "kayak rentals" a few weeks back and decided to try it. I spent 3 hours out on the water and I was hooked.
I just went to REI and bought a new 12ft recreational kayak and have taken it out the past two days and it is super fun and I can already feel the soreness in my upper body.
I feel like this is a great way to get a good upper body work out without the monotony of the gym.
I looked at the sea kayaks at first but was looking at $1500 for a good one so I decided to just go with a nice recreational kayak which I spent 700 for.
Any of you guys kayak or have advice for a new guy?
