I grew up on Showtime Laker Basketball in the 80s in LA, and that era defines the Lakers for me. And Magic defined that team. I even remember exactly where I was when I found about Magic's HIV status - I was playing AYSO soccer at the park.
I think it is theoretically possible to get HIV from heterosexual sex but you'd have to sleep with 1000's. Maybe less if that number includes pros. I guess that's doable for his numbers as others have suggested. I don't care if Magic is bisexual or what, but it's possible. What hasn't been discussed much is drugs - LA in the 80's? That's a smoking gun I think. But, who knows.
