It's also feasible to go from Mazatlan to Guadalajara if that is what you want. I think if you go in bus it would take 8hrs maximum, maybe less.

. I don't know how easy is to hook with the girls tough, Mexico is still a conservative and "social circle" country. The place is riddled with narcos also, but as long as you don't do anything abnormal it's still a safe place.
